High School

High school students’ personal faith grows by putting it in action, empowering youth to DO and LEAD, and deepen their relationship with Jesus.

High school ministry, directed by Pastor Sarah Clark and Kent Henriksen, and lead by adult and teen volunteers, is focused on relationships between youth, Christ, peers, family, and the church.

The following programs build and support those relationships:

Roots and Small Group Ministry
This exciting, new program is made of students who build up the body of Christ through leadership, fellowship and faith conversation with friends. Learn more about Roots.

Youth Mission Trip - New Orleans 2008Youth Mission Trips
These trips get students “out of their box” so God can get their attention!

Retreats
Retreats unplug youth from the busy-ness of their lives, plugging them INTO significant time with God. Learn more about high school retreat options.

Milestones
These events celebrate a connection between significant life events. See how we celebrate these milestones.

Music
Join the High School Rock Band. The group leads music at Confirmation and retreats. For more information, contact Kent Henriksen. registration has begun. See what we did

Desired Outcomes of the Easter
Youth and Family Ministry

The mission of Easter church is to grow in faith and carry on the work of Jesus Christ. The following are guiding principles to help us achieve Easter’s mission.
  • Youth know that they are a vital part of the church and that it is a loving, safe, and comfortable community.
  • Youth know the love and grace of Jesus Christ and can tell the story of Jesus to others.
  • Youth are able to connect in faith-based relationships with other youth.
  • Each student can identify a significant faith mentor in their life.
  • Each young person has a faith transforming (life-changing) experience at Easter.
  • Students discover their God-given talents and interests to love and serve others.
  • Empower families to practice faith in the home (devotion, service prayer, conversation).
