WOMEN WARRIORS

Women Warriors is a group of women who have lost their husbands recently, or awhile ago. Nobody understands what you are going through except others who have lost their spouses.

This group meets the third Thursday of each month at 5pm at Easter Lutheran Church on the Hill (4200 Pilot Knob Rd, Eagan, MN 55122).

Join us and learn how to navigate the stages of grief, find your way through everything that needs to get done, and live a new independent life.

Kris Palfe and Kay Owens, co-facilitators, and the other women are here to help. You don't have to go through this alone.

Questions? Please email Jennifer Peloquin at jpeloquin@easter.org.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE DEPRESSION, AND HELP OURSELVES AND OTHERS

PRESENTATION BY THERAPIST MICHAEL BOROWIAK

The pandemic has impacted many aspects of our lives and taken a toll on our mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. Now, more than ever, it is crucial to take time to focus on our mental health.

Therapist Michael Borowiak from Traverse Counseling and Consulting gave a presentation in March as part of the “Navigating COVID Times Together” series. He discussed the difference between depression and sadness, how depression presents itself at all stages of life, how to help yourself, and when to seek professional help.

Check out the video to watch his presentation.
