Pastor Megan, Pastor Kevin and Pastor Erik discuss Exodus 20:1-17. The commandments focus on our respect for God and our respect for others. It is a check on our desire to be the center of our own universes (like the first sin). The commandments also show us how to show respect to ourselves (for instance, sabbath). If we are always at risk of thinking we are our own god, we are also at risk of letting ourselves be held by something that we’ve made into a false god.
