Throughout this season at Easter, we will focus on one of these core spiritual practices – intentionally doing life together in community.
Life in community is more than gathering in the same space, attending worship at the same time, serving on committees together, or knowing one another's names. Living in community – doing life together as part of God’s beloved community – is a spiritual practice. It is the intentional work of showing up for one another in connection, conversation, and companionship. It is how we learn to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. It is how we learn to love ourselves and our neighbors well. It is how we experience belonging and help cultivate belonging for others. Life in community is one of the primary ways we grow in faith and carry on the work of Jesus Christ. Together.
Over the next twelve sessions, we will spend time together across various groups, contexts, and ministries exploring what it means to live in beloved community together. We will ask big questions about life and faith and engage in meaningful conversations about relationships, humanity, hospitality, welcome, belonging, vulnerability, presence, and Christlike love. We will consider the ways God calls us to cultivate intentional relationships with other people both within and beyond the walls of our church.
