Pastor Megan, Pastor Erik and Pastor Kevin discus Jeremiah 29:1, 4-14. In this passage, God tells the exiles to make themselves comfortable in exile because God wouldn’t be bringing them back for a long time. They shouldn’t trust those who say God will relent quickly. God’s plans involve a lot of waiting! We don’t want to wait. We want answers. But hope doesn’t mean specifics. It means we are certain that God works through all situations, even the most challenging ones. How do we understand God’s promises for “a future with hope”?
